ZipE® is an exclusive system based on bio-resorbable surgical Biolock buttons that are focused on solving all the problems and damage caused by surgical ties for tendon repair.
Learn about the benefits of this technology in the following video
How it works
- A ZipE® anchor with preloaded suture is fixed to the bone.
- The damaged tendon is held with the suture using a pin.
- The ZipE® Biolock buttons travels in a guided manner along the suture to the tendon, holding it firmly.
- The tendon will be held firmly and gently to the bone, starting its remodeling process.

- Avoid returning to the operating room for the same reason in 99.8% of cases compared to the 75% success rate of tendon ties the first time.
- You will have fewer bone perforations compared to competitor products; since a single anchor firmly holds two distinct points of the tendon, reducing damage to your bone.
- This minimal bone invasion facilitates future tendon repairs in case of new trauma thanks to the integrity of the bone that Ziptek technology allows.
- You will feel safe since this technology distributes the functional forces on the compression of the buttons, strengthening the safety of the repair.
- Allows tissue remodeling and progressive recovery of its functions; as the button is bio-resorbed, the tissue heals, promoting a gradual transfer of forces to the tissue, facilitating your independence of mobility and strength once regenerated. Metaphorically, this evolution is similar to the motor recovery of a recoverable injury in the lower extremities; the patient with adequate support will go from being bedridden to moving using a wheelchair, then using crutches, continuing with a cane, to finally being free of support devices upon recovering their mobility and motor strength.
- Will prevent tears; ZipE® reinforces the coupling by compression, allowing through its bio-resorbable Biolock technology a remodeling of the tendon without the tears caused by suture ties.
